Badge and backlink

Put a little Grain in your footer.

One line of HTML, a badge that is 44 pixels tall, and a link back to joingrain.app. Venues, planners, photographers and hosts are welcome to use it. Nothing to sign, nothing to maintain.

Questions about it

How to add it

Three minutes, once, in the footer.

1

Copy the code

Pick the style and version above and press Copy HTML. The dark-footer button gives you the same badge with light artwork, for footers that are deep or photographed.

2

Paste it in the footer

Wix: add an Embed Code block. Squarespace: a Code block. WordPress: a Custom HTML block. Site builders without a code block usually take the code straight in the footer editor.

3

Check the link

Click the badge once on your live site. It should open joingrain.app in a new tab. That single click is what makes the badge worth having.

Keeping it Grain

A few small courtesies.

Nothing here is enforced by a contract. It is simply how the badge stays readable across other people's sites.

Building a page in English for an international audience? The badge text is language neutral, so the same file works everywhere.

  • Link to https://joingrain.app and let the link be followed.
  • Keep it 44 pixels tall or smaller, and keep the colours as they are.
  • Give it some room, at least 12 pixels of space on every side.
  • Leave the alt text in place so the badge still says something without loading.
  • Do not present it as your own work, and do not use it to imply a partnership.

Questions

The useful answers.

Where should the badge go?

In the footer of your own website, or on the page you use for events and weddings. A footer link appears on every page of your site, which is what makes it useful. Some venues also place it next to the QR card on signage photos.

Does it cost anything?

No. The badge files and the link are free to use for hosts, venues, planners and photographers. There is no agreement to sign and nothing to maintain.

How do I add it to a website built in Wix, Squarespace or WordPress?

Copy the HTML from this page and add it where the editor accepts code: Wix uses a Embed Code block, Squarespace a Code block, and WordPress a Custom HTML block. Most footer builders accept the code directly. If your site has no code block, upload the PNG as an image and set its link to https://joingrain.app.

Can I change the colour or size?

Please keep the colours as they are and scale it no larger than 44 pixels tall, so the badge stays readable and on brand. The SVG file scales without going soft if you need a smaller version.

Which version should I use?

Use the light version on a pale footer and the dark version on a deep footer. If your footer is a photograph or a colour we do not cover, use the mark only and keep the link.
